Dear Authors,

Kindly read the instructions carefully and follow the guidelines below when preparing an abstract for submission. If you have any questions about submitting an abstract, kindly contact Ms. Archana Rao a via e-mail at sessions@usdd.org for assistance.

1. All abstracts must be submitted in English.
2. The text of the abstract may not exceed 1000 words.
3. The abstract format will be of three types and you can choose one that suits your Abstract paper:
   • Format I: Research Findings in Brief
   • Format II: Factual Summary
   • Format III: Descriptive Summary
4. No critical or argumentative topic will be allowed since the USSD aims for building good spiritual life.
5. The paper should not mention anything that would defame the other religions.
6. The abstract should contain background, purpose, aim, findings, conclusions and implications. Follow the abstract format given here. 
7. The authors must state their explanation on results. (Research findings). 
8. An author may only submit two abstracts. If more than two abstracts are submitted by the same author, then only the first two abstracts submitted will be reviewed.
9. Mention the co-author in the abstract if he is involved in paper presentation. Also mention the sources / references and citations necessary to avoid the plagiarism.
10. Authors who submit an abstract should confirm that they have not previously published their findings and that they are not planning to publish them prior to the dates of the USSD’s 2009 International conference of the deaf on Spiritual life and Vision.

Deadlines

Please note the following fixed dates:

• Sep 15th 2009 : Last date for submission of Abstract.
• Oct 1st 2009 : Selection of Speakers will be announced.
• Oct 15th 2009 : Submission of Full Papers / Presentation.
